Guided tours for schools
At the museum, our guided tours use football to talk about a wide range of topics, as well as containing lots of exciting stories and curious anecdotes. The interactive components engage the pupils, and the group activities encourage discussion. The tour also ensures that pupils have enough time to learn about exhibits independently and explore the interactive stations.
“More than just a headline” tour
A tour centred around the media and the beautiful game
CHF 95 per group
Incl. admission
Duration: approx. 90 minutes
Suitable for 6th graders+
Imagine: it’s the final of the world’s biggest football tournament, but the only way to watch it is at the stadium. A scenario that is unthinkable today was a reality when the World Cup was in its infancy. From its humble roots to a global commercial success, the beautiful game has grown thanks in no small part to the role of the media. The mass media brings many advantages and new opportunities but also presents new challenges.
In our guided tour, pupils are introduced to the history of the game’s popularity and the role of the media in bringing football to the masses. Pupils are encouraged to explore the intersection between football, the mass media and commercialisation through engaging scenarios.
"Fair Play" tour
CHF 95 per class
Includes museum admission
Duration: approximately 90 minutes
Suitable for middle school classes and above.
Rules are essential—not only in football but in all sports. However, the importance of rules extends beyond sports into our everyday interactions. "Fair play" goes even further; it is about more than just following the rules. It encompasses a positive attitude: respecting others and treating them with decency, even in competitive situations.
During our guided tour, we explore the significance of "fair play" both in sports and in daily life. We will discuss notable examples of fair and unfair behaviour in football history with the students. This tour also includes the "Fair Play" workbook, which is module 2 of our comprehensive "Fair Play“ teaching materials.
“Football and Migration” tour
CHF 95 per class
Includes museum admission
Duration: approximately 90 minutes
Suitable for secondary school classes and above
What is the connection between football and migration? How do these topics relate to the identity of a society? On the one hand, football is a sport that has spread from its country of origin, England, to the entire world since the late 19th century. On the other hand, football reflects a country's social and ethnic identity through its national teams.
During our “Football and Migration” guided tour, we explore these movements through the lens of individual teams, analyse historical relationships between countries, and consider the impact of migration on a country's football identity.
